Momma Haile’s Cheese Dip
Momma Haile’s Cheese Dip
1 Tbs. chili powder
4 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 Tbs. ketchup
1/2 stick butter
1 lb. American cheese
2 cups milk (2% or whole works best)
1 can rotel
Tabasco sauce, 6-7 drops
cilantro (to your taste)
garlic powder (to your taste)
Melt butter in pot. Cut cheese into medium size pieces. Start melting the cheese and add milk a little at a time. Stir frequently. Once the cheese is melted and all milk is added, add all dry ingredients including ketchup. Add rotel and Tabasco sauce last. Stir until mixed well and it is ready to serve
